Before joining Nutricia/Numico as a Marketing Manager I had worked in marketing & sales positions at pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly. In 2006, I was attracted to world of executive search and decided to become a headhunter. I am fundamentally and genuinely interested in people. Helping in making them stronger, so they can take a new step and achieve their life’s ambitions. In finding out what really motivates them. And in advising companies on how they can set up their team or organisation by identifying their goals and how to attain them. This requires proactive thinking, and determining which characters and personalities work well together, and which experience and competencies complement each other. This is how I can match companies and management needs with the ideal candidates.

The common thread in my professional life is creating connections — between supply and demand, or between candidates and companies. As an experienced matchmaker, I have a keen eye for opportunities and the ability to turn them into successful collaborations between businesses and individuals.
My approach to Executive Search is proactive and investigative, allowing me to gain a comprehensive understanding of needs, goals, and ambitions. This enables me to serve my clients in the best possible way. My natural curiosity, strong listening skills, and drive to make a difference are invaluable assets in this role.
What gives me the most satisfaction is achieving sustainable matches and solutions that deliver real results. I enjoy working with people and organizations that strive to make a meaningful impact within their field or domain.

After more than a decade of entrepreneurial business development of setting up new companies in new fields I decided to return to my passion of bringing people together in an executive search role.
Truus.nl was one of Holland’s first online groceries in 2011-2013 and Exposar.com was one of the first studio’s to offer a full circle of online content solution to a wide range of high volume fashion brands. It was a great journey to be part of these companies from the beginning and to be part of building these companies from the ground up through several stages.
After a wide range of roles, primarily in the supply chain, the operations and the HR & Finance departments, I decided to take a new step in my career and to go back to my first love in my career: headhunting. Why? Actually very simple. I am genuinely interested and I get easily excited in exploring new companies and I have a great way in transferring this enthusiasm to the right qualified people who might not independently have thought of taking on the new role at hand.
In the past, as a corporate recruiter for TNT and Booz & Company and consultant at YER Amsterdam, I have been able to make a difference for both companies and candidates seeking new challenges and to have them enter in successful long term career changes and I am looking forward to creating similar achievements.

As a business coach I am responsible for the ODC competence measurement tool at Navigator Network.
In the Navigator Network searches we are always looking for the best and most suitable candidate. But we go one step further. On request, we integrate an ODC measurement in the procedure. In that case, the necessary competences for the candidates on the short list are translated into (match) profiles. This provides insight into leadership styles and management competencies and a clear strengths / weaknesses analysis with associated development opportunities.
The ODC measurement, in combination with professional guidance, offers managers the foundation to be successful from their essence. The powerful and unique thing about the ODC measurement compared to traditional instruments is the measurement in text and image. As a result, in addition to what you know (cognitive), ODC also measures your preferences (associative) from your individual and collective subconscious. This generates insight into the behavior you show, which is reflected in the measurement.
The ODC measurement offers a clear separation between natural strength and learned - and therefore vulnerable - behavior; offers insight into natural competences, competences that can be developed and competencies that are difficult to develop, helps to put together successful teams based on real qualities, redicts functional and dysfunctional behavior under (great) stress, makes it possible to match sharply and with a high predictive value on a job profile, Measures validated with high reliability in just 15 minutes.

For him, the personal touch is important. That makes the difference, especially in this digital era. Not the ‘what’ but the ‘who’. Reflecting on how he initially got engaged with Navigator Network. We did talk much about persons and matches. After all, at the end of the day it’s much more about who you match than what you match.
